“Dancing Isadora’s Legacy”

In an evening filled with sensitivity, enchantment, and a spirit of optimism, the audience had the opportunity to experience Francesca Todesco and her dance group Dances We Dance, alongside students from the Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center, honoring the legacy of Isadora Duncan with emotion and respect.
The performance was the culmination of an intensive two-week workshop, focusing on works by Duncan set to music by Christoph Willibald Gluck. Under the artistic direction of Francesca Todesco and with the contribution of Joe Williams, the dancers conveyed the timeless essence of expressive, free dance.
Excerpts from new works by Dances We Dance were also presented, highlighting a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary creation. Their movements, full of depth and delicacy, captivated the audience and created a vivid sense of ongoing dialogue between the past, the present, and the future of dance as a living art.
